Due to the lack of housing, the Midwood development in Hong Leong was controversial. The developer was selected to carry out the project on the basis of the concept price and other factors, but not on the basis of the total project cost.

This neighborhood in Hillview Rise is located in a peaceful, leafy setting, away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the city. Once you live in Midwood Condos in Hillview Rose, you will have a completely unique living experience.

Some Interior Design Themes To Consider For Your Love Nest

The Art Nouveau style is defined by flowing lines and strict geometric shapes. Doors, window frames and furniture, have elegantly curved edges that range from subtle waves to exaggerated and fantastic contours. This style is similar to Art Deco in that it combines decorative details with contemporary features.

The French interior design style is one of the most influential in the history of decorative arts. Typical of the decorative styles of the Louis XIV, XV and XVI eras (late 17th, 18th and early 19th centuries), the Rococo style is prized for its finely crafted furniture, intricate carvings and opulent gilding. Archetypal Rococo Asymmetries, bombshell silhouettes and neoclassical elements such as the Roman god of Lyra, urns and winged lions are all French.

Hollywood Regency is a glamorous interior style that originated in California in the mid-20th century and was very popular. The class was inspired by the charming residences and movie theatres of the golden era of movie stars. Large chandeliers, shiny black mirrors, casual skirts and boudoir upholstery are the main features of this style. Decorative show wood frames with cabriole and fluted legs remain an integral part of elegant furniture design. Contrasting colour combinations such as hot pink, green, black, white, turquoise, lemon and yellow are among the most striking style features.

This type of interior design aims to combine features of contemporary and modern style with a scuff and rag look. Shabby chic interior designers draw much of their inspiration from vintage design styles and focus on creating feminine, soft and delicate designs. Key elements include wall hangings, threadbare light fixtures, linen textiles and a mix of white and pastel colours. Most of the furniture used in this style looks worn, aged and contains antique finishes.

Industrial style, as the name suggests, is inspired by warehouses and urban lofts. Consider high ceilings, old wood, hanging metal fixtures, and sparse, functional furniture. Many elements look raw and unfinished, and it’s not uncommon to see exposed brick, ductwork, and wood. Often, abstract artwork or photograph or two is added, along with a splash of paint in a neutral colour scheme derived from primary materials like wood or metal. Some of the most iconic homes with industrial design themes are renovated lofts in former industrial buildings.

Modern mid-century style (MCM) has taken the world of interior design by storm in recent years. It is an interior design style that emerged in America and Scandinavia in the mid-20th century. It appeared in America and Scandinavia in the mid-20th century. After World War II, American designers enthusiastically experimented with new materials such as plastic and plywood and wanted to explore the possibilities of mass production. Mid-century pieces are a mix of organic and geometric shapes, clean lines and gentle curves.

The streamlined retro appearance that was popular in the 1950s and 1960s is a classic interior design fashion that never goes out of fashion. According to Home Beautiful, an example of its hallmarks and the reason for its enduring appeal is its focus on functionality.

Another popular Scandinavian interior design style that emphasizes clean, calm simplicity has universal appeal. Functional and minimalist, the Scandinavian interior style emphasizes organic shapes, subtle interest in tonal and textural play, and the relaxed charm of white and spacey grey undertones. Scandinavian interior design is one of the most easily mastered contemporary interior design styles and consists of a well-balanced mix of elements. Splashes of colour come through art and individual textiles like small throws and rugs. Many interior design trends follow this style, but before we get into the thick of it, this is a design movement to keep in mind.

If you’re planning your design project and don’t know which interior style suits you best, don’t worry, today we’re bringing you some popular 2020 inspirations. Given the abundance of unique design styles, it can be daunting to decipher which kind works best for you. Some like to combine elements from different techniques to create their perfect look. Should You Choose A Resale Flat Or BTO Flat As Your Love Nest?

Organising a wedding for 100 guests or more can be tricky. Budgeting is core to preparing a successful celebration. On average, weddings in Singapore cost about $40,000 to $60,000 and can go up to $100,000. The cost of a wedding largely depends on the type of wedding you envision and its scale, and the number of guests you are planning to invite.

But the bulk of the cost goes to the property. Here we have a breakdown of the costing and procedures of getting a property after a wedding.

Congratulations on getting them to say yes! The “fun” is just starting. If you thought you found the best time, place, and method to propose, visualise the stress, you’ll both go through as you plan your wedding ceremony and decide on a location for your wedding banquet. But the most significant decision is yet to come when you choose where you will live. This discussion simply could put an end to your marriage before it even begins, especially if he’s wishing to save money by living near his parents.

Singapore today, couples find themselves in an exciting situation. With the measures taken to cool down the property market over the past five years bearing fruit, there’s really no better time to buy an HDB flat. And why? Because both resale flats and new Build-To-Order flats are almost reasonably affordable. We describe why you should opt for a resale flat as a newlywed and calculate how straightforward it would be to get one now.

Why Choose A Resale Flat Compared To A Build-To-Order (BTO) Flat?

In the past, this topic made little sense. The bloated Cash-Over-Valuation or COV that arose with a resale condo clouded any advantages a resale condo had over a Build-To-Order or BTO condo. COV could improve the price of a resale condo by $200,000 or more. The most unfavourable part for buyers? They could barely pay that amount in cash.

In 2016, it was reported that mediocre COVs had dropped to zero for the first time in six years. This meant that resale homes were once again comparable in cost to flats.

Here are five reasons why a resale flat is better:

1. You Get The Keys To The Condo Immediately Without Waiting Years

Of course, when we say “immediately”, we’re talking about a process of 6 to 8 weeks. However, contrasted to the 3 to 4 years you have to wait for a BTO flat, it’s like getting this immediately. Even booking a place for your wedding banquet demands more preparation time than getting your resale flat. It also indicates you won’t be compelled to make big decisions like buying an apartment too early in your relationship.

2. The Unit May Have Previously Been Renovated

Since you’re technically purchasing a second-hand HDB flat, the agent may have already done repairs that you like, and you won’t have to make too many modifications before you move in. This is especially true if the previous owners did extensive work on the kitchen. Considering how much Singaporeans waste on improvements these days, that’s a lot of savings!

3. Amenities In The Community Are Already Up And Running

Think of the communities where most BTO flats are found, like Punggol or Tampines. For example, the map of Punggol is full of “future streets”, “proposed places of worship”, buildings with a “(U/C)” sign for “under construction”, and LRT stations that have not yet opened. You’ll have to use your creativity when deciding if this is the typw of neighbourhood you want to live in if you start your wedded life.

With a flat, on the other hand, the community is already established. You know exactly what the transportation situation is like, what schools are nearby, and if the nearby places of worship are suitable to your needs.

Why is this significant? Because these amenities affect your property’s value, it’s easier to gauge how prices will grow in a BTO development. Yes, prices in Jurong East are expected to skyrocket due to its recent exponential growth into a lively hub of activity, but on the other hand, Punggol has struggled for years to convert a self-sufficient city.

4. Extra Support If You Buy A Property Near Your Parents’ Home

Did you know that you can get up to an extra $20,000 if you live near your parents? If your parents live in an HDB flat, buying an home within the same town or within four kilometres of them qualifies you for the newly enhanced Proximity Housing Grant (as of Budget 2018).

If your parents live in a private home, then you can approach the HDB to check if your resold flat is in this four-kilometre radius and thus qualify for the extra $20,000. And if you are prepared to live with your parents, you can now get $30,000 in grants gratitude to the announcement in Budget 2018.

5. You Are Still Eligible For An Hdb Loan Or A Bank Loan

Whether you are buying a BTO or a resale flat, you should be qualified for an HDB loan or a bank mortgage if required. The decision between an HDB loan and a bank loan depends on your situation. If you are the kind for whom buying a Singapore jackpot ticket is the most significant speculation risk you will ever take in your life, you should go for the HDB loan. However, if you want to possess more control over the variety of loan, you should consider a loan from a bank. Compare house loan interest rates and choose a mortgage loan that befits you.

Useful And Important Information For Wedding Couples

Weddings are unquestionably a cause for happiness and celebration. But preparing for one during Singapore’s Phase 3 reopening in this COVID -19 season can be more complex. Besides continuing within the capacity limits of the venues, wedding organisers, venue operators, the fiancée, the fiancé, and their guests must adhere to Safe Management Measures (SMMs).

Here are few ways you can still stay safe at weddings

For the interest of the bride, groom and all other guests, make sure you are not infected before attending the ceremony or wedding. If you believe you are ill, see a physician and wait home. Ask the bride and groom if there are any alternatives to join in the wedding virtually.

1. Facilitate The Quest For Contacts

All wedding attendees must use SafeEntry and TraceTogether app to aid contact tracing. Temperatures of all guest should be obtained before entering the event.

In addition, the bride and groom should inform the authorised Master of Ceremonies of the names of all guest and vendors used. Attendance documents must be retained for 14 days after the celebration.

2. Respect capacity limits

If the wedding ceremony is carried out at home, adhere to a maximum crowd of 8 people. This excludes the best man, vendors, and members of the owner’s family.

Note that if the function is held in a home, you can solely have wedding ceremonies and not a reception (with food and drinks). You might consider keeping a separate reception at locations where proper SMMs can be observed.

For weddings held at an off-site venue, including places of worship eg. Churches, Temple and Mosque, you can have a maximum of 100 guests.

Guests must be divided into:

– 2 zones of up to 50 people each, OR.
– Staggered time slots with up to 50 people per time slot, with 30 minutes between each session.

3. Spacing Between Groups Must Be At Least 1M

In addition to a designated core of 20 people (including the bride, groom and groomsmen), the remaining guests must be in groups of up to 8 people. The groups must keep a distance of at least 1 m at all times.

4. Adhere To The Established Seating Arrangement And Your Zones

Guests must be allocated seating, and food should be served to them. Buffets are not permitted. This also means that other freestanding movements such as photo booths are not authorised.

5. Put On The Mask

The bride and groom must wear a mask or surface shield during the ceremony. However, they may remove it for important moments, including exchanging promises and rings, kissing, and during the wedding walk in and exit. During these times, the couple must maintain a distance of 2 meters away from the rest of the guests.

Every others present must have their masks on at all times except when dining or drinking. They may remove their covers quickly for photos.

It is important to adhere to the rules set by the Singapore government if we want the wedding to proceed smoothly and for our guest to be safe.
