Did you know that you can get up to an extra $20,000 if you live near your parents? If your parents live in an HDB flat, buying an home within the same town or within four kilometres of them qualifies you for the newly enhanced Proximity Housing Grant (as of Budget 2018).

If your parents live in a private home, then you can approach the HDB to check if your resold flat is in this four-kilometre radius and thus qualify for the extra $20,000. And if you are prepared to live with your parents, you can now get $30,000 in grants gratitude to the announcement in Budget 2018.

5. You Are Still Eligible For An Hdb Loan Or A Bank Loan

Whether you are buying a BTO or a resale flat, you should be qualified for an HDB loan or a bank mortgage if required. The decision between an HDB loan and a bank loan depends on your situation. If you are the kind for whom buying a Singapore jackpot ticket is the most significant speculation risk you will ever take in your life, you should go for the HDB loan. However, if you want to possess more control over the variety of loan, you should consider a loan from a bank. Compare house loan interest rates and choose a mortgage loan that befits you.

Useful And Important Information For Wedding Couples

Weddings are unquestionably a cause for happiness and celebration. But preparing for one during Singapore’s Phase 3 reopening in this COVID -19 season can be more complex. Besides continuing within the capacity limits of the venues, wedding organisers, venue operators, the fiancée, the fiancé, and their guests must adhere to Safe Management Measures (SMMs).

Here are few ways you can still stay safe at weddings

For the interest of the bride, groom and all other guests, make sure you are not infected before attending the ceremony or wedding. If you believe you are ill, see a physician and wait home. Ask the bride and groom if there are any alternatives to join in the wedding virtually.

1. Facilitate The Quest For Contacts

All wedding attendees must use SafeEntry and TraceTogether app to aid contact tracing. Temperatures of all guest should be obtained before entering the event.

In addition, the bride and groom should inform the authorised Master of Ceremonies of the names of all guest and vendors used. Attendance documents must be retained for 14 days after the celebration.

2. Respect capacity limits

If the wedding ceremony is carried out at home, adhere to a maximum crowd of 8 people. This excludes the best man, vendors, and members of the owner’s family.

Note that if the function is held in a home, you can solely have wedding ceremonies and not a reception (with food and drinks). You might consider keeping a separate reception at locations where proper SMMs can be observed.

For weddings held at an off-site venue, including places of worship eg. Churches, Temple and Mosque, you can have a maximum of 100 guests.

Guests must be divided into:

– 2 zones of up to 50 people each, OR.
– Staggered time slots with up to 50 people per time slot, with 30 minutes between each session.

3. Spacing Between Groups Must Be At Least 1M

In addition to a designated core of 20 people (including the bride, groom and groomsmen), the remaining guests must be in groups of up to 8 people. The groups must keep a distance of at least 1 m at all times.

4. Adhere To The Established Seating Arrangement And Your Zones

Guests must be allocated seating, and food should be served to them. Buffets are not permitted. This also means that other freestanding movements such as photo booths are not authorised.

5. Put On The Mask

The bride and groom must wear a mask or surface shield during the ceremony. However, they may remove it for important moments, including exchanging promises and rings, kissing, and during the wedding walk in and exit. During these times, the couple must maintain a distance of 2 meters away from the rest of the guests.

Every others present must have their masks on at all times except when dining or drinking. They may remove their covers quickly for photos.

It is important to adhere to the rules set by the Singapore government if we want the wedding to proceed smoothly and for our guest to be safe.
